Sorry that's not right. Its always been the case if you can't finish your journey at the end of the day you can use the tickets on the first train of the next day. A ticket is like a contract. Once you purchased it the railway will take you to your destination.

So if this proposal goes ahead Londoners will get free tube/train/bus from 60 to 66 then bus only from 67. Perhaps they are hoping to put pressure on the London mayor to pay for the tube/train part and London councils only pay for the bus ?
