The Guildford - Horsham route X1 started in May with route branded 49 seat Volvo B9R/Plaxton Panther coaches, which were then replaced, primarily, by 37 seat Versas. In turn these have now been replaced by the displaced 17 seat Mercedes Sprinters! I will leave you to draw your own conclusions...

Arriva Southern Counties already have "form" here! One vehicle arrived in Maidstone [1000], but suffered from overcrowding and is now rarely used in service. When last heard of, it had been relegated to the "Reserve Fleet". Three more turned up at Guildford [smaller vehicles, same frequency]...

375821 returned from Derby last weekend in new SE livery.

375917 is another one in new SE livery, completed in September.

319433 is now in LM livery, completing the set.

It should be 321404, awaiting its turn to go to Wabtec, Doncaster for conversion to a 3 car Class 320. 321401/403 are, apparently, already at Wabtec being converted.

Indeeed, there may be more money in doing that than actually running the trains themselves!

TimboM, just to re-iterate it is less than 1000 hours of service, not 1000 miles.

92040 is quite an interesting one. According to an old post in "another place", this loco has less than 1000 hours on the clock. Apparently it was derailed shortly after delivery and then spent a long time at Crewe EMD where it was raided for spares. Eventually it was sent to Loughborough...

Just to clarify the position of the seven ex EPS Class 92s. All were withdrawn from service in 4/2001. The first (best) five were purchased in 2/2007 from EPS and these were 92020/021/032/040/044. Of these only 92032/044 were ever returned to service at Coquelles (by the end of 2009)...

It looks as if the plans have changed, as 4460 [MX61AXY] has now turned up at Maidstone, with hybrid 7011 going to ANW in exchange.

375905 returned to Ramsgate, refurbished and repainted in new SE livery on 18/2/17.

375808 is now refurbished and back at Ramsgate, delivered on Feb 11th.

375807 is also now refurbished and back at Ramsgate, delivered on 4 Feb.

They have also received 321418/19/20 from Great Northern.

And 375908 returned from refurbishment and repaint from Derby on 28/1/17.

375805 was delivered back to SE Trains in its new livery on 21/1/17.
