    Possibly. If not, i'm sure that Transport Scotland would intervene to make sure that there was a path available if VTEC floated the idea, as they are mad for additional links like this to Inverness .

    The Wikipedia page does mention at the bottom that the shortened GWR sets will be designated as Class 255, but it doesn't cite any sources.
