I don't think the NR bloke in Scotland should have tweeted about the ECML being open. VTEC are already trying to manage a difficult situation. Last thing they need is housands of passengers decending on Waverly with no trains planned

On delayed 1419 London Bridge to Caterham. Ground to a halt just after Kenley. Its just about moving now. Some interesting sights and sounds coming from beneath the train as we limp towards Whyteleaf. Driver not hopeful ..
I listen to both sides and always come back to the same question when this sort of event happens. What happens if the forecast is correct and NR/TOCs try and run a normal service?

I am trying to remember as i used to travel from the open air station before it was done. I would say at some point between 1999 to 2004. I can't recall if they built on top of the covering just before Metro got there or just after - it was in that period though
I used the service today as I actually needed to travel between Leeds and Manchester anyway and i wasn't time sensitive.

Re Essex Changes: The 42A Airport trips run through to Galleywood again - asking for trouble with regards to late running.
Almost lost in the shuffle is 4 buses an hour between Braintree and Chelmsford - so not all bad
