    Elmesthorpe Station to be reopened?

As nice as it would be, I don't think there is a chance and Blaby is a more worthy re-opening. The problem with Elmesthorpe is that isn't even near the village.

My idea - re-opening lines in Central England ?

You'll need to become a city first...

Unused infrastructure and other railway equipment

The line ran through to Wellington, part of the lines exists at the other end as the Telford freight terminal.

Two new stations: Bermuda Park and Coventry (previously Ricoh) Arena

Obviously people missed my post. Bermuda is a mining village with Nuneaton town being an agglomeration of several former pit villages but existed prior, it meaning 'Abbey by the River Etone'.

Two new stations: Bermuda Park and Coventry (previously Ricoh) Arena

Probably because it is more likely to be used by people living in Bermuda than by people going to Bermuda Park.

What's the plan? Reworked Birmingham New Street

It is months away from being finished, work on the Navigation street footbridge starts next week. Most of the site has been available to the workers 24/7 but so much has been left to the last minute. Also, the shopping centre was due to open a year ago.....

What's the plan? Reworked Birmingham New Street

It is nowhere near finished though, the mayor will be announcing 'I declare New Street dusty building site now open'...

Two new stations: Bermuda Park and Coventry (previously Ricoh) Arena

Probably something to do with Bedworth to Coventry having 15+ buses per hour and to the city centre.

    1635 Chester-Euston

No normally a 10-car formed from the 13.10 & 14.10 off Euston. SX that is...

Government petition - preserving old trackbeds

That really is not true, do you really think Airdrie-Bathgate or the Borders railway could be delivered on a new alignment for anything near the re-opening costs?

Huffington Post Article:Britain's Privatised Rail Network Makes Millions For Foreign

Since neither the SRA nor DfT Rail existed when the Voyagers were ordered I think that is unlikely... However the SRA refused them to be subsequently extended.

    Barrow Hill to Bolsover

The track from Staveley to Arkwright Town was lifted in 1988, the last train having run in 1985.

How many coaches normally allocated to 17:46 Euston to Crewe?

There is a WH Smith in the building at the front though I certainly concede it ain't great!

Since when were Coalbrookdale and the Derwent Valley in the north..?

    New New Street

They are in the process of covering all the breeze blocks and pillars but they keep missing bits! The west end of the station (car park facade) has really come on in the last few weeks.

Why HS2 is so blatantly London-centric and quite frankly, weird

But it is no good if you can't do it in the opposite direction! Hence you need an additional platform.

Why HS2 is so blatantly London-centric and quite frankly, weird

I'm asking whether you would plan two trains that ran non stop to MK (but stopped at MK) at 3 minutes apart. Currently there are 15 departures off Euston between 18.00 and 18.59 - would this be possible if 'everything stopped at MK'?
