Just replying here I have just tried to book my East Coast Reward ticket and the fares are now showing. So on this experience the Reward fares show up something like 2 days after the advances go on sale. That's me done with Rewards now. Sad face.

On the very first day of Virgin's takeover of East Coast I used a First Class Anytime Single from Edinburgh to Haymarket to enter the first class lounge at Leeds (at which the ticket was checked, three times as it happens as I went in three times) and Wakefield Westgate (in which it was not)...

I have a question for people who have previously redeemed East Coast Rewards tickets. I have one Reward ticket to book and although today I can book advance fare tickets on Thursday 4th June there are no £0 tickets showing. The latest date I can see £0 Reward availability is Friday 29th May...

Earlier last month I was on a Cross Country service from Newcastle to Edinburgh splitting at Berwick. I showed the guard all of my tickets for the full journey and he commented "You've obviously done this before" and all was well and peaceful.

If it helps with the guessing game. During the Tour De France Northern hired their loco-hauled train from Leeds to Harrogate from DB Schenker. Locos at both end as well. I suppose I might as well post some photos some of which were previously posted.
