    Freedom pass strike days

The person is aged 68 and the Freedom pass has a Red Rose on it. 1672041512 Why won't another operater accept a passenger on strike days? Surely there is a duty of care and the other TOC do receive some government money during the course of the year to keep the franchise going?

    Freedom pass strike days

A family member needs to travel to Bracknell from NW London. The intended plan was Elizabeth line to Reading using their freedom pass and then pay to use SWR to Bracknell. If there are strikes on can you use GWR services instead? Are freedom passes valid on Green line buses as another option...

    How does autocomplete work

I thought the tfl app uses your location to work out where you are , then just AI to work out which station you got off at.

    How does autocomplete work

The station that I wanted to touch out at had a complete power failure. I touched in at my origin, but at the exit station, the barriers were all open, there was no power supply to the gateline. Some LU staff were there and I asked them what happens, and they said the system will do it for me...

Pressing the bell on buses, London v Outside

yes I have seen them press it twice, and told them that it is unnecessary. You just need to press it once. I do think it is a language / cultural problem in London, and people not understanding the way things are done. Perhaps TfL could ask operators to stop the constant dinging. Once is...

Pressing the bell on buses, London v Outside

I think people are misunderstanding what I wrote, so I wanted to clarify. I am talking about double pressing, eg imagine you double tap your phone, same thing with the bell. There is really no need to double or triple press the bell; it is infuriating.

Pressing the bell on buses, London v Outside

I had a very strange experience the last few weeks using buses in London, having not used one in 20 years. I thought it was customary to press the bell once. Maybe it's London and and people not understanding the system, but the constant double / triple / quadruple pressing of the bell is...

Northfields terminators. Are there Northfields starters?

The service on the Piccadilly line has not been great post covid. It’s normal to wait 15 mins. There are times waiting at Acton Town for there to be 2 or sometimes 3 Northfields terminators. I get on one hoping there might be a service originating at Northfields going to Heathrow but this never...

Train indicator board Eastbound South Harrow not working correctly

I was under the impression the signalling was all upgraded. There seems to be an army of construction workers all the time at South Harrow. What are the issues they are facing with signalling?

Train indicator board Eastbound South Harrow not working correctly

At South Harrow, the westbound train times work well, and on the TfL app and website it will show you when the next 2-3 trains are coming. On the Eastbound side, often on the app, there will be no box for Easbound, only westbound. When you get to the station, it just says check front of train...

South Harrow Sidings, lack of progress

My office overlooks south harrow station and the car park where the contractors are based. Over the last year I have seen the progress, however I am very disappointed with the lack of progress and the speed. I hardly see many people on the sidings doing the actual work, and they are mostly...

Will the jubilee line be quicker than crossrail for those travelling from NW London to Excel Centre

When crossrail opens those that are travelling from Amersham / Aylesbury going to Excel have 2 options 1) Jubilee line to canning town and then DLR. 2) Cross rail from Bond Street, or possibly Canary Wharf and then crossrail. Which journey will be faster and by how much? The Jubilee has very...

    3.8% Fare rise announcement delayed

They need to get that fare increase to safeguard investment. Its below inflation so technically fares have got cheaper.

Was a trick missed when they extended the East London Line

Was wondering if when they were doing the ELL and Overground extension, if they could have added a bi-directional track or used the ELL so trains on the ECML from Peterborough / Cambridge could continue via Finsbury Park, Canada Water, New Cross gate etc to East Croydon and Gatwick airport thus...

    Commuting fare advice required

Car is diesel which is even more a problem given that there are more petrol cars than diesel. My bike is non folding so cant use it on any buses, I could also technically cycle to hounslow SWR station and then catch the train to Bracknell. This situation is crazy and I wasn't born when some...

    Commuting fare advice required

Due to the current fuel situation I need a back up plan in case things done work out. I work in Bracknell but live in Rayners Lane NW London. Worst case scenario I was thinking was cycling to Feltham and then catch SWR to Bracknell. I would need to be in Bracknell by 8am. Do I need a cycle...
