Many thanks for your update. I passed throuh Chester on Tuesday at 1230 and noted 197105 in Platform 5 with Liverpool Lime Street as its destination. I assume that would be the swap with 158833.
Checking back through allocations on RTT I noted that on Tuesday IF92 0644 Llandudno Junction to Liverpool Lime Street was cancelled. The return 1D02 0847 Lime Street to Llandudno was also cancelled but restarted at Chester with 158833 bringing the unusual sight later on of a TfW Class 158 to...

99006 at Tuebrook...
Tonight there is a 6Z24 1929 Tuebrook Sidings to Drax running via Manchester Victoria and Stalybridge. According to RTT it has a trailing load of 800 tonnes, much less than the normal trainload.
As 99006 is still at Tuebrook could this be a test up Miles Platting?
Due to the recent hot weather I have not been out but yasterday I visited Liverpool South Parkway Station. The men in orange suits have removed the vegetation next to the down slow and in the car park perimeter next to the track.
Hopefully I will travel up towards West Allerton Station tomorrow...
