thats what i thought, dont want too many from each depot on each course otherwise there will be no driving instructors available when you go back to do your driving at the depot!
just got off the phone. medical is Friday, but they have told me they haven't put me onto a course yet, I suppose they want me to pass my medical first!
well our on board performance is measure on the amount that you take in revenue so were much the same. and with trains that stop every 2-4 minutes its a bug*er to get through any train, much less sell tickets. that coupled with the fact that we have to ring through every failed debit or credit...
I don't think its all guards think about. the safety of trains is my priority and commission is just a nice 'extra'. I don't sell more expensive tickets when cheaper ones are the most applicable as that is wrong.
if you get the job at beford as a depot driver then I would go for it. theres no guarantee you would get the mainline job and from what people have put on here in the past, Bedord seems to have a high turnover so theres a good chance that you will get the chance to apply for mainline.
i'm...
i think and i stand to be corrected. it comes up when you apply for two jobs at different locations, or sometimes when one application is used for multiple roles!
whereabouts are you working ml? conductors come up fairly frequently especially at brighton and selhurst. barnham have just recruited but has a number of conductors coming up to retirement. i take it you have signed up to www.southernnet.southernrailway.com?
that has the vacancy list on it...
