Despite the branch closing in March trains have been reversing at Moorgate during peak hours since then although today when i passed the line the Overhead Wires had been taken down and track was being lifted near Farringdon.

I saw the new 2009 stock to soon be introduced on the Victoria Line at Finsbury Park on Saturday due to the cross platform with the Piccadilly Line and it did sound like an electostar. Pictures attached below.
