Next week (Wednesday 26th) I'm going down from London to Lymington to go on the slammers and i would be grateful for any good photographic locations along the line that are easy to access by train/walking and safe. Also i've seen pictures of 59's along the branch does anyone if a similar workings occur regularly. Thanks Chris.

The only real place along the branch is Lymington Harbour - a short walk from Lymington Town station. Many shots of the 3-CIGs have been taken from there.

Also CCF23, please don't bump threads unless you have something new to add to them :).

There is a level crossing on the road that leads to the ferry terminal. Shots of the crossing of the river bridge can be had from the quay accessed from the town..walk along towards the marina.

If you walk out the station at the south end, do a U turn at the left and walk 'up' the station (So that the track is on your left, and the platform at the other side) and follow the path past the Level Crossing (as said above) and just follow the road up. The track will dissapear to the left but carry on a bit further and there's a run-down mini car sales place on the left (redundant petrol station) walk just past this, and there's a roadway at the side of it to a high-ish brick wall.

Me and my mate went there to film the slammer coming in, if you stand on the brick wall you'll get a good shot. The view is the line over the bridge and the line curving round to Lymington Town.

Sorry Chris, I don't know the roads there  but looking at the map that Oracle provided It's Undershore Road, Follow that road north of Pier Station, see where the track curves around and there's a paved area with car's scattered on it? Just there, and walk to the back of it where there's the Wall dividing off the track and the field.
