I received an email this afternoon saying I have a interview on the 22nd. Previously passed the telephone interview but I haven’t done the psychometric tests yet.
Applied for Leeds and Doncaster.
I too had an email today saying they haven't forgot about me and they are trying to work something out as the next step was group testing. Possibly Looking at doing smaller groups or remotely.
The interviewer asked me which depot I was applying for. Doncaster is closer but I can also get to Leeds so she put me down for both.
I have submitted all my qualifications although they were done as part of other courses so I am waiting to hear back if the apprenticeship team will except them
I’d did say they would need copies of certificates at the beginning.
It didn’t say the equivalent had to be specific to Maths and English.
I’ll update when I find out where I stand
I have just had a email saying I am progressing to the next stage.
The only problem is my GCSE’s are equivalent through NVQ L2 and L3.
It says they need copies emailing and if my qualifications are equivalent they have to be specific to Maths and English so it looks like I won’t be able to go...
She didn’t say and I didn’t ask.
My answer was “I have the equivalent through NVQs” and she said good and moved on to the next questions.
My NVQ L2 got me into the fire service which then got me my NVQ L3. I never took my GCSE’s due to leaving school early to go to a technology college.
I have a NVQ L2 in one subject and NVQ L3 in another.
The advertisement said A-C or equivalent and I was asked in my interview if I had A-C or equivalent.
I said yes through NVQs.
I was told they are the equivalent and it says online they are so that’s what I am sticking with :D
if I am honest I don’t think I used the best answers and ones I had practiced.
I think because it was not face to face and I could hear the lady typing I tried to get to the point rather than tell a story
I know exactly what you mean. I had paper set out all around me with answers and I didn’t...
I have just had my phone interview too.
The lady was very easy to talk too and made me feel relaxed.
I was told I would be contacted by LNER within 4 weeks to let me know if I have been successful and if so what the next stage is.
good luck everyone
