Any update if there actually was an issue last night?, apart from that one guys tweets no other information seems to show anything, not having any sleepers would have been something the official CS twitter account would have made people aware of?
as the e320's seat more people then the e300's i suspect there is some automated system that shifts a diagram from one to another if one of the trips on the diagram reaches a booking level that would indicate the need for more seats
sounds like the the initial iryo Derailment threw carriages onto the other Line that the Alvia then hit if the track diagram is to go off
tragic, thoughts to everybody involved
yea a variable gauge fleet would make alot of sence. somthing similar to what Spain does could work well for the Baltics, even pre rail baltica it could allow the Poland-Lithuania services to be thru running rather than a train change at mockova
sounds like there already is a SUW 2000 setup at...
not saying there is a problem that they can be used for
more that as they prob will be scrapped soon, why not use them to test ideas that can be used for other locomotives
this is why i suggest in-line beds, would allow single pod style options so can even make use of upper berths without sharing
if a larger refurb was an option i would suggest this
Seated - British Airways Club World Suites, maybe with an added Mark 5A DVT
Dining car - new Seats as the existing...
suprised nothing was ever suggested for post 225 use for the 91's
from what ive heard they have quite a bit of free space in them due to the underslung transformer so prime for being some kind of testbed for bi-mode or battey operations
dont know about a detachment but checking RTT brings up https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:Y12221/2025-12-17 that at least lists it as a door issue
later than i expected but still great to see, interrail is booked for April so will miss sadly
my suggestion for the reversal at Tornio was that would be okay of thats where they swapped from Diesel to Electric so would not effect timing as much
going from 1 train each way to 15 is impressve
as a side tangent are there plans to re-open the old Tornio station?, would work as a better location to swap between Diesel and Electric for the Kolari Sleeper and potential to add a carriage or two from Haparanda?
agreed, better for a few good videos of the last HST pulling away by a select vetted few rather than every video being marred by somebody standing in the way
Hamburg could work by using Altona for Juxaposed Control (especially if factored into Altona's replacement) with a setdown only stop at Hamburg Hbf from London for connections
eh i booked with interrail so kind of already have free rebooking, prob will be a Daytime ICE to Hamburg then DSB Talgo to Copenhagen
should i cancel myself on OBB's website or wait for OBB to contact me?
