    Caledonian Sleeper

not a full 16 as the carriages alone are 2m too long (353m platform vs 355m carriages) and once you factor in the 2 class 92's its too long but a 14 carriage reduce length consist would just about fit

Introduction of European Entry-Exit Scheme (EES)

website states so don’t think they can avoid compensation but weirdly they show the train arriving into London 15 minutes early, assuming that’s got to be a time conversion typo

[SE/FI] Updated: Haparanda - Tornio trains funded, expected to start 2026

the wording about no restaurant between Oulu and Haparanda feels weird, surely it would be better just too say there is no restaurant on this route?

    Boxley tunnel eurostars

eurostar can be very ad-hoc with swapping 373's for 374's if a train is full enough

Introduction of European Entry-Exit Scheme (EES)

any hotel they stay in will want ID and that will flag them as being in the UK, booking a ferry needs card payment, also flagging being in the UK. ID for plane will also flag location unless you burn all your ID and pay with cash in hand only to dodgy shops, very hard to hide where you are these...

First unit in full GBR livery

the GBR livery shown off so far have been on a 80X so i suspect they could choose to launch the Livery on a 800/802 when they take over GWR in December

[SE/FI] Updated: Haparanda - Tornio trains funded, expected to start 2026

is there any chance the Norrland Night Trains and Norrtag day Trains package could be merged, could enable more optimised operations like combining the Lulea-Kiruna and Lulea-Narvik Day trains into one to say cost as well as add Kiruna too the Stockholm-Narvik Night train when that is...

[SE/FI] Updated: Haparanda - Tornio trains funded, expected to start 2026

in theory could get too stockholm using the new timing for NT93 (curtailed to Lulea) with a 22:18 departure at Boden but would never trust 6 minute connection like that in general seems like Stockholm-Helsinki will be easier than Helsinki-Stockholm even if their is a 5-6 hour wait in Lulea

Short (under 15 miles) lines that would be useful to electrify

i think they alongside the Corrnish Branches would be good candidates for Tram electrification, 750v DC overhead and a fleet of tram tains like the 399 or 398's could work well for cheap

[SE/FI] Updated: Haparanda - Tornio trains funded, expected to start 2026

As someone who has now experienced the current station at Tornio I hope as part of reopening the old station they move the kolari sleeper too it Reaching the halt really is a pain especially if you have a suitcase and not at all pedestrian accessible, only thing is a single bench out in open
