Ahh. Enough for aircraft cabin baggage, and soft bags to go in, while her monsters go under the bed, or on the shelf above the feet on the bottom bunk.
The more I look at the new cabin view, the more I become concerned about the lack of shelves.
Where does the top bunk occupant keep devices...
Do they still belong to HMG, or did we actually sell them off to SNCF?
I seem to remember talk of a leasing arrangement around the time there was talk of coming back to the East Coast, but it might well have been a straight sale.
The fact they kept pretty much the standard livery made me think...
Yes, the Mark 3s have them above where the bottles of water and shaver socket/USB outlets are.
Yes the solo option does give the option of using the bed, if it's left down, but as a twin, (without two together discount ;)) not very good for stowing baggage.
The finish does look nice and modern...
Yes, but what has to be remembered is it was a Franchise Requirement, which goes to show that ALL franchise requirements are subject to change, and of course subject to the correct financial agreement between TOC and DfT/TS.
Having a quick look at prices for late in 2018, and solo room is currently showing as £205/£235, twin is £170/195 (for two together), so quite a difference for the solo. I'd imagine that the quoted "from" prices will be advance non-refundable fares.
From a selfish point of view, it will be...
Many mechanical shunting signals over the years, even when the main signals were MAS. Stockport had them until not that long ago. Woodhead route had them too.
The springs on some of the doors of the early DAC phones are poor, and often break leaving them to flap about in the wind, while the newer ones are so stong they just about take your fingers off!
I remember when GTRM was known as Get The Redundancy Money.
Good luck to those who may not be that lucky to actually get any redundancy out of this shambles.
