    Caledonian Sleeper Mk5 Discussion

Well yes! And as for the tap in front of the window blind... I'm still thinking from the photos seen so far, that whoever designed the Mark 3 made a very good use of a small space, this one, not so much.

    Caledonian Sleeper Mk5 Discussion

Does look nice, but the third picture is no more than a Mark 3 berth done nicely. Still unconvinced with storage space for anything resembling a large suitcase, or what the other half would call a small carry-on case!

Not my photo, but... Lowdham Block Shelf by John Illingworth, on Flickr The items on the right of block shelf are what the signal box has for AHB indications. Other variations exist.

Thanks. Been years since I've been near an AOCL.

Level crossing accident on Arun Valley Line 17/02/18

No. That's the power pack hydraulics leaking off enough to make up the motor contacts. They're set to drive up the barriers before the red road lights come on.

Why do most things done by Network rail cost so much?

NR force you to go down the approved suppliers route, despite the same spec item being cheaper elsewhere. That is a problem.

Virgin Trains East Coast franchise to end 24 June 2018 and is temporarily re-nationalised
