Hi everyone, I'm a qualified driver with an FOC. I have a mate who has applied for the scotrail vacancies. He has passed the online assessment and passed the telephone interview, he's been told to keep checking his emails for the classroom assessment date. Now I know some tests have changed...
You can do as you wish on your days off, however if you've worked a 50hour week driving trains and then work your days off driving coaches then this could become dangerous. Would all depend on the amount of hours etc but if was just a couple of days a month then I wouldn't even mention it.
https://firstgroup.hua.hrsmart.com/ats/js_job_details.php?reqid=8698 A job to get your foot in the door and useful in becoming a mainline driver! Plus there won't be the hundreds applying
Jambo is right in that with db as soon as you sign one core route you are productive and get full salary! May be different with other focs/tocs I'm not sure!
They have two new simulators which will now be part of the training. The current trainees have to do 150 hours with mentor and then 75 on simulator. This is part of your train handling hours so I've been told. Would imagine freightliner will do a similar thing for there trainees. 75 simulator...
Db still is 150 hours but then there's x number of hours on the simulator aswell. I would say for HH 6months to do the handling would be a more realistic estimate!
I don't see this job getting the usual 1000's of apps. I mean its been advertised a while and there was nothing at all on the forums. As far as I know it's basically a depot driver then a chance of mainline after 18months productive.
Just stay calm and relaxed! Think about your response and give as much detail as possible. Also have back up examples because they will ask you for another example if your written example is not strong enough. Mine was a lot less relaxed than 'The Apprentice' interviews although i could just...
Sounds like they will be doing the managers interview first! You will be asked questions like what do you know about ATW? Why do you want to be a driver? How would you cope with a fatality etc? Im sure theres lots more info on here about the managers interview. Can i ask are you from wales? Im...
I applied for trainee driver Blackpool and haven't heard anything from the test. However I also applied for depot driver role at Blackpool/barrow! Received email saying since I've already taken online test and passed I am now at shortlisting stage waiting to see if my app is strong enough for...
Applied for a shunter job with FGW but just wondering what the assessments are? Already passed the driving assessments so wondering if any are the same like group bourdon! Also salary says 30k that seems on the high side compared to other toc's. More like a depot drivers wage but it does not...
Nope it said 4th of feb was when you would here if you've been successful! That is definitely what was stated on the listing. The assessments were next then it was a medical and then managers interview!
