    What is a train?

Can remember once the annoyed guard shouting for everyone to move down the train. It was one of those single unit Lincoln to Peterborough jobs, and the last service of the day at 16:00 or something. He wasn't too impressed when I pointed out if this actually was a train we wouldn't all be packed...

    Where am I?

Can't believe no-one has had a guess yet, didn't think it was that difficult. Second clue. A nearby pub (now demolished) named The Rescuers, paid homage to the efforts of rescue teams following a disaster at the colliery just north of the station.

    Best lines to drive/travel

I'd like to nominate the Peterborough to Spalding section of line. Beautiful scenery and the nearby peaks are snow topped even in summer. The journey seems timeless as you speed through the Cambridgeshire/Lincolnshire border at nearly 125mph whilst enjoying the delights of first class.

    Through fares to heritage railways

Any business that doesn't facilitate contactless payment won't be in business for much longer. Haven't used cash on a regular basis for several years.

    Werrington grade separation updates

Thanks for these videos, very interesting. Presumably the new crossover, will give additional flexibility in the event of a track issue.

    Werrington grade separation updates

Presumably this work is in preparation for the new line to join the existing one. When are the new points scheduled to be installed?
