LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

In which case I would speculate that, no, "pool" members have not filled up those slots as some of those 23 on the Picc have started training weeks and weeks ago, well before you guys here received your invites. Maybe there has been natural wastage on other NT lines as well so there may well be...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Training is generally pencilled in as 12 weeks on most lines, but allow a little longer. If you land on the Picc then it'll be 16 weeks officially but, again, allow a little longer. As for working over Christmas, the simple answer is yes. You only get Christmas Day off. NYE attracts a premium...

Apologies to the mods but I've just realised that someone has already posted this vacancy. I blame it on having just finished a night shift.....:lol:

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

No, and there was quite a variety of different "outfits" present when I went, some were in suits, some in t-shirts and tracksuits, I was somewhere in the middle with a shirt & trousers but no jacket or tie. I don't think it really matters for AC1 but my personal feeling is that I'd never turn up...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

AC2 will only take place if you pass AC1 and, as mentioned, it'll be on a separate day. AC1 is purely exams so don't worry at all about any interview type stuff. The practice material and the advice in this thread is plenty of information for AC1 preparation. Good luck all.

    Half day tops, if that.

    Which job would you choose?

Go for the TFL CSA role. Probably the quickest and most likely of all the jobs you've posted that could lead to a drivers job. Anyone within TFL who has completed training and passed probation for 6 months can then apply for any internal vacancy. The drivers role has popped up a few times in the...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

I think it's a bridge too far. At the very best they could agree some sort of "queue jump" for LO & Crossrail vacancies in my opinion.

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

I don't believe they tell you. External candidates aren't entitled to feedback if failed, whilst internals can ask where they slipped up. My personal experience was that there was sufficient time for all tasks and I know it's easy to say this now but really do try and relax, it's not as bad as...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

True story mate. Acton Town was down to 6 odd NT drivers just a couple of weeks ago. The fact that they've asked you guys to sit assessments means that, yes, NT recruitment is being focused on for the moment. But at the same time it's impossible to know which line you'll be sent to until your...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

That was the old salary and it's probably an oversight by them getting you to sign an old contract. You will be on £24214 for sure.

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Also worth mentioning that there is also a "night shift" roster at some depots. These drivers work full-time hours but book on at 2200ish and later. A typical shift consists of finishing the last hour or so of traffic, putting trains into the depot, followed by a couple of hours down-time, and...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

Once you leave Ashfield House your training shifts would be to shadow whatever your IO is rostered on that week, so it could be a week of earlies or middles or lates. However if you have a combination of IO's in the same week you could well have a mix of earlies, middles and lates all at once...

LU Night Tube Train Operator - Part Time

14-16 people is about average for most courses. In theory those 16 people are then supposed to be spread out evenly across a few lines so as not to overwhelm one particular line with too many trainees once they finish their initial 2 odd weeks at Ashfield House. This is where the Piccadilly Line...

Quick heads up, there's currently 32 in training on the Picc, across the 4 depots, of which 22 are FT and 10 are NT.

    Chances of Driver jobs abroad....
