I thought the same. I did apply a bit after the advert started so maybe they have their trainees for these areas already. It is a strage one with the advert being open for so long.
Had an email today saying that my previous passes for stage 1 and 2 meet GAs standard, however there are no current vacancies at liverpool street or bishop stortford and i will be contacted when they open up. Anyone else have any information on this?
Oh i agree, but surely its still a reflection on the information they are trying to get from you even if it is a reflection of what you put in your pre SJT. Still if its only 1 area that you didnt pass on not a bad point to work from. Good luck on your next attempt.
Also i found in my MMi that the questioner probes for extra information or detail by the questions they ask. Maybe think back to the interviewers manner and the questions they asked you to see where maybe you went wrong.
My advice would be to not feel presurrised. The tests you take are all about concentration mostly and they fully explain it to you and give you an example run on the day and make sure you fully understand before it is started. You need to just work quickly and accurately. Dont get flustered and...
Then you will have a DMI, I had mine the same day at the previous one I attended but could be at a later date sometimes. Then It normally would just be a medical and dbs before starting training if offered a place.
I've passed both stages 1 and 2 including MMI this year for another TOC. Just keeping as many options open as possible. Although having read a few posts there are a lot of applicants for this one.
It is exactly what it says, get some quiet time it takes 30mins. It's basically a personality test. Situational judgement with multiple choice answers. I think 19 questions. They will develop a personality profile from your answers. My advice - just be honest and don't Over think it.
Just a bit of friendly advice, don't let the process consume you, they will be in contact in due course if you meet criteria for them to go foward, nothing you do will change that. It takes a long time so just periodically check the forums and emails but don't dwell on it. In a talent pool...
I'm ok to wait, it's just the uncertainty that's a bit of a killer. If I was told that I was on course in October for example it's just the date that needs finalising. That would be ok. But we have to think that there guys even waiting before us. Once in it will be a long and great career.
If the previous timelines are to be gone by and there is a course in May as previously floated about, then we should hear something in the next 2-4 weeks. I think the medicals and provisions seems to be set up about 8-10 weeks before training starts.
