Yes I logged in and out yesterday, made no difference. However, I just tried it yet again - same journey on both app and web - and this time eTicket is back but Smartcard is missing! It'll be interesting to see if c2c can explain it.

Thanks for testing it out. Unfortunately I am still missing the eTicket option on both app and website. I have tried both with and without my railcard, but no change. I've emailed c2c customer support and will update here when I get a response.

I think I've only used Apple Pay on c2c before for e-tickets, but this one was to Boundary Zone 6, hence there was no option but to collect.

As I recall I was prompted to input the booking reference after putting the card in, and then told the ticket could not be collected with that card. It did then suggest using another card, but it seemed illogical to me that it might accept some other random card after rejecting the one I'd used...

Thank you. I had a feeling Apple Pay might have had something to do with it. It was a low value ticket for immediate use and as I was in a hurry I just bought another from the machine. I've put in a refund request to c2c on the grounds of "ticket no longer required" which hopefully will be OK.

Over the years I've gone from the Iphone 6 to the 8 and quite recently to the SE, which I find fine. I can't comment on the other models other than to say I thought the prices were ridiculous. I think you'd find the SE a nice easy upgrade.

On the subject of boundary zone fares, I have just experimented with a Boundary Zone 6 to Fareham ticket on this forum's ticketing site and also c2c. On c2c you can enter "Zone U6* London" as starting point which brings up times but no fares so can go no further. The RailUKforums ticket site...

The 60+ Oyster is valid to end of Zone 6. If you're on a train and want to go beyond that you can either get a boundary zone ticket, or a ticket from the last station in Zone 6 on that route. The train doesn't have to stop there, nor do you have to touch in or out - it's the same rules as a Zone...

I agree, I think seat reservations are more trouble than they're worth. On trains south of London lack of seat reservations seems to work perfectly fine. I understand family groups etc want to sit together, but I usually find people will move to accommodate them if there's space.
