Couple of updates from today. This morning work was in full swing on the end wall for platform 2/3. By the time I was heading home this evening the wall was finished. It looks like there is a gap on the left side for some steps in future.
I think the conduit is now complete along P2/3, maybe...
Good to have you back @mr_moo!
This morning there was a crane on site getting setup:
The skeleton of the station really starting to take shape now. There has also been further progress with the foundations for the lifts on P2/P3 and infill between the platform faces.
On the way home this...
Further update from this morning. Work continues on foundations and floors for the station buildings and pedestrian bridge. Over in the park it looks like assembly has started on the new train shed…
Lots of progress recently. The face of platform 2 is now mostly in place so the layout is now much clearer. Good progress on the west side with the forecourt there being built up and levelled and what look like foundations for the new bridge going in.
Some photos from this morning, from the busway bridge again. Piling is underway for the main station building, while over on the west side the level has been brought up over quite a large area. I assume the later is for the forecourt and bike storage. As for platforms now that the old line has...
I think that’s one of the end markers for the ‘DNA’ cycle path that runs alongside the railway as far as Shelford.

Here is the view today from the busway bridge. The new lines through P3 and P4 are now in use. If I understand the signs correctly there is a 50mph TSR in place, at least in the up direction.
Here is a a clearer view than before of work at the Long Road bridge. Looks like there is a footing...
My understanding is a bit of both; the lines through the new platforms are final, but the lines that slew across are temporary and will be replaced by a final layout next December which allows access to all four platforms.
Here is the view of the station this morning. More concrete going in for the station building, some wires in the ducting under P4, and a big pile of earth has appeared where the forecourt will go.
Here is a new view for the thread - north from the Long Road bridge. Showing some new OLE bases/mast which I assume are for the station work as well as a new foundation just to left of shot which may not be related.
Work continues on the station site but not much visual change so no photos.
Couple of photos from earlier this afternoon showing progress during the possession this weekend. I hadn’t appreciated the conductors are actually made of copper (coated?) wire.
Here’s a few photos from Hills Road looking south. I think there will be some work happening here in due course but not sure if the bits of S&C scattered about are related to the station or not.
(Edited with additional photos)
I was at the station this morning as well. Things are coming along nicely. @William3000 must have just missed you!
I did notice that there was work going on south of Foxton but I can’t imagine that is related to the station.
In addition to the photos from...
Update From last night. Piling operations in progress - presumably for the station foundations on the west side. Looks like the ballast has been going in between P3 and P4 as well.

Another update from yesterday. Sleepers!
The edge of P4 has appeared…
There are also some interesting blocks near where the station building will be. Foundations for the passenger bridge or lifts maybe?
