Looking for advice please.
In September I'm planning a Saturday trip from Waterloo to Dorking Deepdene via Guildford & return from Dorking (Main) to Victoria. Is this a permitted route for an off peak return?
Thank you in advance for your help.
1. Marylebone - Convenient interchange to tube and usually excellent punctuality.
2. Waterloo - As above.
3. Paddington - Remembering the days of Westerns & Warships.
You can see trains from the following grounds:
Banbury United
Berkhamstead
Bristol Manor Farm
Carlisle City
Didcot Town
King's Langley
Redbridge (Central line at Barkingside)
Rugby Borough - distant
Wokingham Town
On 03/06/2017 GWR ran several CDF-PAD services after 23:00 at the end of the UEFA Champions League final that was played at the Millenium Stadium. Seat reservations for each service was mandatory but not enforced on the night.
It was also the night of the terrorist attack at London Bridge and...
Rail fares are a nightmare to understand
1. I frequently use split ticketing to reduce travel costs and find I have to tell the ticket office staff which is the cheapest fare for each leg of the journey. For example the existance of an Avanti Super Off Peak return from Milton Keynes Central to...
Not a stupid question as such but....I was working at Newbury Park and had someone ask me where the racecourse was. What made it worse was that he had come from Paddington.
Hi All,
I'm looking for information of train times back in 2017.
Specifically for the following 2 services:
03/06/2017 23:00 Cardiff Central to London Paddington. Special service for UEFA Champions League final.
04/06/2017 01:20 London Paddington to ? (i alighted at Hayes & Harlington).
The...
Thanks for all your replies. I knew something had changed as I waited on the wrong platform at Westerton, mad dash across the bridge as train approached.
I noticed that this service now travels from Westerton through Glasgow Queen St LL & Airdrie to Edinburgh. However, I believe 2 or 3 years ago it went through Maryhill. Can anyone confirm if I am correct and list some other stations passed through en route to Edinburgh.
Thanks
I should have been more specific, I was a bit distracted on departure trying to get 2 seats but I thought we left from the 'a' end of New St, towards London. If this is correct, the only viable route I can see, would be through Aston, Perry Barr and Soho Jct.
Probably wishful thinking on my part.
Travelled on this service yesterday and I believe we left New St in southbound direction. Can anyone confirm this and if correct how did we end up going through Stourbridge Junction?
