11:25 Birmingham New St - Exeter 20/07/2014

Travelled on this service yesterday and I believe we left New St in southbound direction. Can anyone confirm this and if correct how did we end up going through Stourbridge Junction?

all services for a few weeks on a Sunday are being diverted via Kidderminster & Eorcester so yes your correct

I should have been more specific, I was a bit distracted on departure trying to get 2 seats but I thought we left from the 'a' end of New St, towards London. If this is correct, the only viable route I can see, would be through Aston, Perry Barr and Soho Jct.
Probably wishful thinking on my part.

You went out the B end and as far as Galton Junction then Smethwick West then joined the Snow Hill - Worcester SH line and then on to Abbotswood Junc then normal line of route
