    MML HSTs

There are currently 9x4 car and 7x8 car sets running therefore to achieve all sets to be 5 or 7 car would mean that 1 of the 8 car sets would have to lose 3 vehicles!!

    XC 220s/221s

From the pictures I have seen of 220017 there doesn't appear to have been a lot of thought gone into the voyager livery. To me all they appear to have done in change the red on the ends to maroon/plum/purple (take your pick) and changed the stripey doors to pink. Oh yeah and added lots of...

    EMT... Is it really good?

I travelled on pendolinos with seat reservations in September on a trip to Scotland and back. Neither time did I sit in "my seat" as although I specified a window seat the one allocated was next to a pillar. Each time I moved to a better unreserved seat with a clear view. If you want to...

    Eurostar Half-Set move to France

3307 was moved from North Pole to Le Landy under its own power on the 15th October. There was a picture of the move on The Railway Centre website. The other half of the pair 3308 is currently at Temple Mills so it may be this unit that is about to move.

    Pathfinder Tours. . .

So what is working the Silverlink Swansong tomorrow? 37417 was dit behind 92041 today on 6A42 Bescot to Wembley enterprise working so would presume this is one loco, whilst I am informed that both 37410 & 37411 are in the Warrington area. Will one be taken down overnight to be the 2nd 37 or...

    Grand Central HSTs?

Apparently the local yobs managed to graffiti 43080 overnight, although it was quickly removed from the info I was told.

    Grand Central HSTs?

Wouldn't the formation be PC-2xTF-TRSB-2xTS-TGS-PC as this would make more sense and be in line with every other HST set running on the network. Also, I thought that was why Grand Central had 3 TGS's allocated to them along with the rest of the fleet.

    FSR Caledonian Sleeper

In reply to M8internet, I thought the formations were 6 sleepers+RLO+BUO giving a total of 16 coaches. Well at least the Inv/Abd/FW appears to be when it runs through Rugby at night. Secondly, FSR would need to convert RFM's for the majority of their extra vehicles as a recent article I read...

    EWS 37s

Not quite 700 yet!! I think at the moment there is 427 Cl66 with another 19 currently on order. Of these 46 EWS ones are allocated to the euroshed pool, although not all are across the channel yet!! Do agree we need a bit of variety though and it is certainly good to see more tractors and...

    General 87 gen

I was told on Sunday afternoon about it returning for the tour, therefore your info looks to have come after mine. Is there any reason given for it not returning to run the tour?

    General 87 gen

I've been told that 86101 will return from Doncaster to Crewe on Friday to enable it to run the tour on Saturday. I'm looking forward to seeing it running through Rugby again just like in the old days.
