    It doesn't work because it breaks the logo up into individual lines rather than the unified whole it was intended to be. Not only that but the greens are too disparate with no apparent thought as to placement of warms and cools.

    Rhu, high up on the Gare Loch-side on a sunny, still, summer's afternoon with only the peewits for company. Could hear 27s coming out of Helensburgh or passing Faslane Junction. Probably audible from 3 miles or more (possibly helped by sound reflecting off the water?).

    Occupants of the car killed unfortunately. No major injuries on the bus as far as I can recall. Most pupils back at school the next day. The car for some reason (so I recall) eventually ended up dumped beside the redundant sidings at Craigendorran. Why I have no idea.

    I'd hoped it had died the death with the GWML schemes finishing. Having laid waste to the west of England I'm dismayed that it's about to wrap its pernicious, wiry tentacles around the more northerly regions. It is HIDEOUS.

    There was a proposal for rails to Ullapool at at about the same time as Dingwall - Kyle. Can't remember details off hand but have seen drawings of that and other coeval schemes in which lines west coast settlements were served by individual lines running from the east.

    Dunoon gets my vote. Not vast but if it wasn't for the odd geographical inconvenience I'm sure it would've been a bustling hive of railway-ness. Same goes for Stornoway, and of course Campbeltown.
