    SWT-child tickets on machines

That doesn't stop people lying though. When a normal child ticket is bought from a TVM there is a prompt asking to confirm whether they are under 16 and adults still buy them. At least it proves intent when approached by a Revenue Inspector :D.

    SWT-child tickets on machines

Which ticket is it you are trying to buy? Having looked at the SWT site I assume it is the one where they can travel with you for £2? Could you imagine the problems if joe public could just walk up to a ticket machine and buy a £2 child ticket to anywhere? It is the same reason that PRIV rate...

Rover Tickets - Filling all the boxes before I go

Thanks for the responses! Think I'll just stick the dates in before I travel up there, can't forget it that way. The Rover starts on the 18th November, which is the day I am travelling up from Portsmouth via London on the Caledonian Sleeper to Edinburgh, arriving Monday 19th. The Rover is...

Rover Tickets - Filling all the boxes before I go

I wanted to do it so I don't have to worry about filling it in. Even if my plans change I would probably still use the ticket just to see other places. I'm only there for 7 days so the dates would still cover the whole trip.

Rover Tickets - Filling all the boxes before I go

I have a question that relates to Rover tickets, I've done a search and come up with nothing. Basically I am traveling up to Scotland in November and will be spending a week there. I'll be traveling around on a Freedom of Scotland 8 in 15 Rover. I was wondering if I can fill in the dates for...

    PRIV tickets

Yes, as they are anytime tickets. There are a couple of services that are listed on the ATOC website that you should avoid if possible.

Rail staff passes - not ATOC passes being used on other TOC's services

Sure it's 3 months? I got mine after a months service and thought this was the norm. I've never traveled with XC or LM but other Guards I have come across have never had a problem with me traveling on my staff pass for a different TOC. Thats a fair old journey you want to make though...

I'll be more than happy to help. I have no idea about oyster cards though.

Basingstoke - Leamington Spa, where to split?

I didn't think about rover tickets. I made the journey today using 3 tickets which were BSK - RDG - BAN - LMS. Came to £9.35 all together and used without issue on the direct Crosscountry service.

Basingstoke - Leamington Spa, where to split?

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask some advice with regards to the above return journey made using a priv pass. I've looked at fares and a priv return will set me back £20.25 but I believe I can get this cheaper by splitting the tickets. The cheapest I found by splitting is £10.70. I wanted to...

    SWT - Gateline Role

What station will you be based at? I work as a Gateline Assisstant for SWT and my rota varies from that of Urban Gateline. Mine rotates through 8 weeks with a 4 day weekend every 4 weeks. I've been doing it for just over 6 months now and have enjoyed it. Take every opportunity you can to...

    lymigton branch

Was that one heading to Weymouth? Because IIRC it would split at Southampton with the front 8 running to Weymouth.

Stations with terminating services but no terminating platforms

Southampton Central has platform 5 which is a bay platform (although rarely used), as does Basingstoke which is the platform for the FGW service to Reading. I can think of Winchester, Poole, Havant, Fareham and Hilsea which I don't think have been mentioned yet.
