    Gner mk2s

I don't know why they bothered, tbh. They are already using the Virgin mk3 set in the background, so why not just get some old Virgin red and black mk2/mk3 coaches from somewhere instead rather than painting some IC mk2s to GNER livery? It's quite surprising that they care about a relatively...

EMT Set on hire to EC

That was the HST which was transferred a few months back (an unbranded MML powercar, East Coast Logos on the carriages & the other powercar, and an EC buffet car). The one we're talking about here has just appeared today.

EMT Set on hire to EC

According to a gen list this is NL020 with 43044 and 43050. Don't know anything else, though.

    EC onboard map

Nice job Ben, will test this out when I'm next on East Coast (should be Wednesday).

    Preservation...Now!

I'd love to see the partial APT-E set at Crewe restored, but I believe that it is currently in a very bad shape.

    New Chiltern Colours for class67

Can anyone sit in the business zone, or is it a first class-type thing?

    New Chiltern Colours for class67

I think that the WSMR livery on the 67 is really dull. The DVT isn't much better, but the coaches do look good with the new branding. And what's up with the 'Business Zone'?

    RailUK Mobile App now launched

That seems a little intrusive, really. I'd much rather pay for an app than get a free version which can access my phone number and do whatever it wants with it.

    66 hauling east coast

That would be 1A34 which should be a 225, not a HST. It's not unknown to see a 66 assisting a 225, I saw a video once of a Freightliner 66 (with freight!) pushing a failed set into a station.

    Steam at Stafford?

I was at Stafford on Friday evening and I saw a steam engine go through, with one carriage. Anyone know what it was? Presumably going to work a tour the next day? Cheers jdrowlands

A few questions regarding east midlands trains

Midland Mainline used to serve Barnsley, but I think that the DfT told EMT to stop running it when the franchise changed.

    Auto-Route Maps/ Live Departure Boards

Thanks all for the comments, much appreciated. I have tweaked the service details pages to now show previous calling points. Screenshot: Fixed that, thanks for pointing it out Because that train has multiple destinations, something which is not implemented (yet). You'll notice that several...

    1t99?

Does anybody know what 1T99 is? Or rather, was, as it's been cancelled! Saw it on the Crewe live departures board, it's listed as being operated by 'Private Charter', running 16:45 COV-INV. It doesn't seem to be listed on any of the railtour websites either. Anyone know more about it?

    EC HST Repaint

NX liveried 91111 looks far worse than the EC silver/gray ones. I actually like the new 225 livery, especially when you get a full painted set. It seems that the EC brand identity has slowly developed from next to nothing to this whole 'Welcome to East Coast' stuff that they are keen on ATM...

    Auto-Route Maps/ Live Departure Boards

I was looking at the excellent traintimes.org.uk map and it inspired me to make this... http://jdrowlands.org/ldb/ At first it looks just like any other live departure boards website, nothing really special there. But click on a train service, and you get the option to view a map :)...
