Thanks all for the comments, much appreciated. I have tweaked the service details pages to now show previous calling points. Screenshot:
Very good. One problem - it gives an error message if I select "arrivals" option, but works fine if I select "departures" or "departures & arrivals".
Fixed that, thanks for pointing it out
OK, but why doesn't it show any destination or timings of the Scotrail sleeper from Crewe ?
Because that train has multiple destinations, something which is not implemented (yet). You'll notice that several trains show like this, a good place to look for them is Gatwick Airport.
Good, well done I'll use this.
I currently use the live departure boards feature on the National Rail website to get the platform number before it appears on the departure board on the Kings Cross concourse. Would it be possible to have an auto refresh feature included so that the platform appears when it's been allocated ?
Yes, this is #1 priority on my to-do list now. Check back later and it'll probably be done
It is a very good idea however as the lines are only crow flies and often do not follow the tracks!
For example Norwich on a Cambridge service (as much as I like our A11, it ain't train tracks!
It would be hard to do this for every line, seeing as I have no position data for the lines themselves, only the stations. If you want to see the actual railway line, it's there on the map if you zoom in a bit.
Edit: thefab444 got it spot on =)

I've now fixed the issue with Scotrail Sleepers/other split trains, so they show up correctly now.
