For me, there's two separate problems with some Southern TVMs:
First, some of them have have slow and glitchy interfaces, where keypresses take ages to show on screen even after you see the button you press light up, and the list of stations that matches the currently entered prefix updates...
In this specific case you can sidestep the Crossing London issue. Stratford International and Stratford London are both members of the Stratford London Routeing Group. The walk via Westfield shopping station is also an official walking interchange.
Any mapped route in the National Routeing...
If* you come to the conclusion that condition 10 of the NRCoC means that the restriction is only by company as per the definition used by Companies House, then it follows that you can use any GTR-branded train to any London Terminal (not passing through Farringdon).
* whether this premise is...
I have witnessed staff from a different TOC clearly state that if the ticket is produced at a later date the PF or excess fare will be refunded (not merely that there is a right to appeal), so it does happen. Of course you can't prove what was said, so this appeal will most likely not be successful.
In practice yes, but if you're travelling on a National Rail ticket with a maltese cross, the rules do say the crossing has to be appropriate. What is appropriate isn't defined though.
In the circumstances given, I think a well-defended RoRA prosecution would fail. However I don't think there is anything stopping Northern from changing their mind and prosecuting under the lesser, non-recordable Railway Byelaws, which in my opinion they would stand a much better chance of...
Also delays and cancellations from London Bridge. Lots of conductors are not doing rest day working or are off sick or "sick". Southern's homepage has more information and propaganda
I have a hypothesis about extra stations such as at Kings Sutton and Kenley...
When there is a bus stop that Google thinks you should use to access the station, where the bus stop is not named after the station, it will appear with a station logo. In the backend data, it is associated with the...
Since Google started allowing contributions like this, some well-meaning people have also been making 'corrections' that are incorrect. There was a period of time when many stations in London sometimes had 2 logos next to each other and London Overground-served stations sometimes got a name with...
It's a problem with the fares data that whole industry uses, as BRFares also does not offer the First class travelcard when a Two Together railcard is specified. London Midland should be able to correct this.
I'm not sure that this is actually the case - but I don't think there is any official documentation either way. I think the biggest problem with Oyster is that you can't buy the 'ticket' in advance, so you can't prove that you were always intending to travel on at that time etc.
I would...
Travelcards cannot be excessed, regardless of issuing TOC.
The only option to do what you wanted without spending more than the cost of a Z1-4 travelcard would have been to convince someone at Kew Gardens to non-issue (refund) the ticket you bought in error, and to start again..
Edit: This post...
Bickley is a member of the Bromley Routeing group. The Routeing Guide instructions explicitly allow double backs for interchange purposes only within an intermediate Routeing Group when travelling on a mapped route.
I wonder if NRE is applying this even though The group isnt intermediate but is...
furlong, I think you'd struggle to find anyone who wouldn't interpret 19(b) to mean:
"at every station where you change tickets, the train must make a scheduled call;"
I would read the rules Haywain's way - you can have 2 'journeys' back to back and get the Didcot to Reading ticket.
However, if there was a delay, I don't believe you could then complain or get any compensation if you are late into Paddington as it is not a single journey in NRCoC terms
