On the East side, it is a game changer no more 315s full and standing from Chadwell Heath, no more fist fights at Forest Gate as commuters were unable to get on trains. No more unable to get on 3 or 4 west bound central line trains at Liverpool Street. The good old days of 5 years ago.
In the days pre-COVID and 345 it was not uncommon for scuffles to breakout at Forest Gate and Manor Park as passengers were unable to board services towards Liverpool St, most services had no seats left after Romford and were full and crush loaded by Ilford. However got to say even the 7 coach...
Any update on 306017, I can still remember bouncing up and down on them comfortable seats on the way to work like it was yesterday. Can’t believe there replacements are now being replaced where does the time go.
As most of the 321s used on the branch and are stabled at Southend, does anyone know where the temporary stabling is for the Wickford to Southminster and Wickford to Liverpool Street services.
I see from September Greater Anglia are now running a later Train from Southend Airport at 23.59 calling at Shenfield, Stratford and Liverpool St only. And an early morning departure from Liverpool Street at 04.30 Mon, Sat and 4.35 Tues - Friday calling at Stratford and Southend airport only.
As a regular user of Stratford for Southend Vic services, platforms 10 & 10a really do need a canopy as when it is raining people wait on the stairs until the service arrives to avoid getting wet.

I have caught the 08.03 from Liverpool St to Cambridge (stops at Tottenham Hale only) a 12 coach 379 a few times and been the only passenger in the coach the whole way.
The Southend Branch is already full and standing on most services by the time it reaches Shenfield, in the peak hours most of which are 12 coach trains. This would mean half of the Crossrail services would be full before leaving Shenfield (the current metro services are also full and standing by...
