Right, definitive answer about 333s going to Doncaster, I asked my Northern driver friend again. He said they were trialed on the route, but it was confirmed that they are not as good as the 321s on it. So we were both right.

Those new things Transport for London have for the overgrund are pretty good, seats along the sides, and loads of space for luggage, bikes and buggies.

Abbey Light Railway, Kirkstall, Leeds. Although since its a 300 mile journey to get there these days, its only occasional now sadly.

321s used to have a regular working to Skipton, and sometimes get to Bradford and Ilkley. One thing I don't like about the 333s, the announcement system misprounounces 'The next station is Shipley' it always says it like 'The next station ish shipley' SAY IT RIGHT YOU STUPID TRAIN!

It seems odd to me that railway companies can't just buy new stock. How many other businesses need permission from the government to invest in new equipment? I suppose its all to do with the fact its all frachiesed, but its still a bit daft in my opinion.
