I don't know if anyone else has picked this up, but I was reading through the Peak Sightseer web page and hidden amongst the Q&A text at the bottom it mentioned Peak Sightseer tickets are valid and can be bought on the 170. This will be useful for people travelling from Chesterfield to use the...
Hopefully they last until at least the summer. 4x Enviro 400s freed up from the 48 to replace nine Omnis is a bit of a stretch, and I don't think it's something they'd want to rush into
If 637/8/9 are staying navy with the intention of becoming 4s, in that case I wouldn't be surprised if the...
Someone on Ukastle reckons they were manufactured by a company called He'lux:

Those lanterns are quite common on some stations round this way. Thirsk still has them, quite dim though when seen from the...
NCT are known for maintaining their vehicles well, plus it's been retrofitted to Euro 6, is decently specced and has a much beefier engine than typical Solos. So it probably commands a bit of a premium over similarly aged Solos from other operators, or with Mercedes engines.
It might be worth noting that at least one of the yellow line Optare Solo SRs is for sale via Bus & Coach Buyer.
Although considering it doesn't say "choice of [X amount]" it looks like only 364 is for sale.

Those Trident the Bear posts still leave several Euro 3 Enviro 400s unaccounted for, though,
Including but not limited to 19013/14/15/17/18/22/44/45/47/50...
So are we to assume those ones are staying?
Can anybody shed any more light onto the specifics of the various chassis types ADL have used for Enviro 400s over the years? It’s one of those questions that an internet search was reasonably never going to answer, because although E400 chassis can be broadly divided into Trident, E40D and...
The issue is mainly the companies which provide spare parts in the first place; manufacturers and aftermarket parts suppliers struggling to get spares imported and distributed in a timely manner. Warehouses that should be full of spare parts for common types of bus are empty. And with a limited...
I'm not sure what's befallen the Yutong E10 fleet this morning but none of them are in service. The 11 has Solo SR spares on it while blue line 40/41/42 are all running with Enviro 200 MMCs off green line, and a Uni4 Omnidekka. Meanwhile green line has some Parliament Street E400s and another...
Funnily enough only yesterday I was on a Nottingham City Transport bus, where the timetables had been thrown out the window by horrendous city centre traffic. NCT buses can seem painfully slow at times so when a driver's in a hurry it's very noticeable, and this one certainly got a shift on...
The road works are still there, where the traffic lights are badly timed. I asked the various operators on social media and Trent said they'd had reports of delays on the indigo, and CT4N directly cited the Maid Marian Way works as the issue. I haven't heard back from NCT yet. Everything seemed...
Does anyone know what happened in Nottingham this evening to disrupt buses down Derby Road so much? Was waiting at Canning Circus for a 36 (or indigo) towards Beeston just after 4pm, no 36s turned up for 40 minutes, but stacks of 34s and 35s were turning up bunched together, and pretty much...
Has Wellglade just re-acquired two of its very old Solos with Littles, since they owned W301 YAL and W409 YAL
Or did they quietly go for scrap at some point?
To differentiate between the three Skylinks I tend to refer to the colour of the buses; yellow Skylink; blue Skylink; grey Skylink.
Considering other Trent Barton routes have had colour differentiation before (e.g. Hucknall Connect) it's not inconceivable Skylink 'Derby' and 'Nottingham' could...
That's unfortunate. I assume it's a fully bunt out write-off?
Another fire Wellglade could've done without at this stage. It can't be good for their publicity when their buses incinerate themselves every month or two.
Has there been any intervention from the DVSA re all the bus fires this year?
Euro 6
A few years back almost all the diesel double deckers from 2010 and newer were retrofitted with exhaust treatment; essentially all the N230UDs. The filler for the AdBlue is visible on the offside of the converted buses. Even some of the Omnidekkas which are have since been sold on to...
The Fencer was indeed meant to get a double deck variant, although since the single deck version hasn't sold too well (at least in the UK) they might not proceed with developing a Fencer decker. I don't think NCT are looking to buy any more biogas buses, from what I can gather the price of gas...
