I half completed the Fratton one, typed out all the competency stuff and by the time I clicked on the equality bit it had timed out. Just about managed to copy/paste my answers into the Salisbury one in time!

The assessments are very much aptitude-based. That’s not to say you shouldn’t have a go at the practice examples but you will likely either pass or fail just the same. The SCAAT is a test of accuracy and speed (concentration). The other is a test of how you can learn, remember and apply rules...

To my knowledge, disqualifications are spent once they are up, but points (endorsements) are not spent until 5 years after conviction.

The first assessment centre slots have become available. I had an email invite and I was able to choose from 9th Dec and 17th Dec. Worth checking your emails early before the slots fill up.

I was recently unsuccessful for the Kettering Trainee Mainline Driver role. I am currently most of the way through the recruitment process for the Train Manager role. I really don’t know what my prospects of being a driver with EMR are, but I would enjoy the Train Manager role in any case.
