My other half is sure she has been on a train with it, I’m not convinced as I only remember it from coaches and maybe trains abroad. she was born early 90s so unless it was on a heritage railway I’m not sure when she would have seen anything like this?

Did any train seats come with foot rests? Like the sort you used to get on coaches that fold down from the seat in front? if so which ones had it? I am guessing maybe mk3 coaches in first class?

define more polluting. Only interested in NOx or considering other gasses like CO2, CO and HC? Diesel is higher in NOx but that is only a by product of how the engine works- and that leads to lower emissions of other gasses like CO2, hence the push to tax on CO2 back in the early 00’s meaning...

No worries. Got to start somewhere I guess? they do seem rather slow though in removing the old branding and colours, as some say it’s likely so they can have a big splash when the new trains arrive but still seems a long way off from the take over.

Hinckley train station has had the canopy on platform 1 changed and the poles holding it up are now white and EMR purple at the bottom. The rest of the station is in EMT blue and orange still so it looks a bit odd.

What is the round thing with the 3 rivets holding it in place? My first guess when asked was either something like an arm rest when the stock was new but don’t think so after a google, or something to do with holding the seat base in place? Anyone know for sure?

When derby was being re modelled the XC trains went that way, had a run out that way just for the hell of it, it’s not a fast line though being freight mainly it seems

Back in the day I had a PC copy of train sim, can’t remember which one but it going back a fair few years. I didn’t play it much but I do remember there was an easy mode for want of a better way of putting it, where you could get in a train and basically there was an accelerate and a brake...

Was on a 222 Sunday heading up north and the train manager had a EMR lanyard, badge and tie, also the girl running the trolley had a purple fleece on over her normal EMT uniform but didn’t notice if it had EMR on it or she was just on the ball colour coding from her own wardrobe,

Depending who you speak to some say it’s more green than blue, it does seem to be an odd colour that looks different depending who you ask, lighting etc
