Wow thanks everyone I don't know why I just though these questions are best to ask at a later stage in training.
What about route learning how many routes do you have to learn? With so many signals and routes wouldn't it be easy to go the wrong way
I just got some "in your face" questions I wanna know out right. It's the questions you can't really ask in an interview but just dying to know. If any train drivers out there can answer would be great to know!
Question 1: is it true train drivers work 4 days on then rest for 4 days...
Stallion I feel for you man. These tests will make or break people by the sounds of them. I too am a bus driver and looking to move on from that to trains but from reading these comments about all these tests really makes me feel really anxious. I just hope all the tests you done are relevant to...
I just think it's a little harsh since I found this website I've seen lots of people failing on maybe the last test or interview and there just heart broken. It truly is a hard career to get into that's for sure.
Most of these test seem a bit OTT to me I wonder how many older train drivers would do with these tests. I don't mean that in a bad way just saying some might fail but are still clearly able to do the job.
Oh that's cool to know, it must feel so good to be at the stage your on now all them test over with. Just from reading all the stressful test you guys have gone though must feel such a wait of your backs
And here I am still waiting to hear back after applying for the job lol how stressful has it been applying for this job and going though these test? Well done to everyone who got it!
I'm the same haven't heard anything yet still but see everyone is on there way to there second tests it don't look to hopeful. Can be any number of reasons why we are not hearing anything yet. You may have aced the online test but if your living far away you may be put on a backup list. Just...
Normally this means we done well on the app but not as well as others and are kept for backup just incase the first lot of people mess up there assessments.
Sadly I didn't make it though the first test just as I though the questions was just going straight over my head so I wish you all the luck to becoming a tram driver
