Our new ticketing site is now live! Using either this or the original site (both powered by TrainSplit) helps support the running of the forum with every ticket purchase! Find out more and ask any questions/give us feedback in this thread!
The problem with doing what to suggest is that the TOC may just think it’s a bluff and carry on. By doing very basic engagement yes, you are giving the TOC your name but you are killing this stone dead and clearly stating to them to go away. I really wouldn’t want the grief of debt collectors...
suggest you write back informing the train company that no one of that name lives at that address, use recorded delivery to ensure you have a track on the letter being delivered.
So Chiltern is now accepting contactless out as far as Wycombe. This is great news. So, I get on at Wycombe and head into London for the day, paying by Contactless. I use the same contactless card on LUL services and for the return journey back to Wycombe. Does Chiltern talk to LUL re fares so I...
Don’t acknowledge the e mails. Do not open the e mails on your PC, read them via a webpage if you have to. Personally I would just ignore. Come back if you get court docs but as others have said, just because their is proof of ticket purchase, doesn’t mean you used that ticket for travel.
I went today and loved it. Took lots of photo’s, bought 1 book and have very sore feet. The layout of some of the vehicles frustrated my photography attempts but overall I thought it was excellent and I saw it all.
We queued for about 20 minutes from the gate to the ticket scan point and they...
Can I suggest running a virus scan on your PC just in case you have some snooper software downloaded onto it somehow. I would suggest that someone has hacked something somewhere and is searching for passwords, bank card details etc having obtained your e mail addy. It could be random, or could...
Look at the header for the e mail. Where has it come from? The organiser/ticket people or other? If it is from the organiser then it suggests someone is trying to hack your tickets/account. You can always hover your mouse over the link and see where it directs to.
I believe it’s 6 months from date of the alleged offence to lay info at the court, could be another month after that before your partner hears anything. I suggest waiting until the end of June before breathing easy…..
Sorry I should expand. I was referring to complaining generally, not specifically about being asked the wrong question. Typically it’s been financial institutions that have felt my wrath, due to doing totally the wrong thing, failing to do what they said they would and plain outright lying To...
You have no right whatsoever to ask to see my booking/journey history. You are dealing with the here and now, not something from 3 weeks ago - that would be down to Fraud investigation or whoever to deal with based on information you pass to them. The offence you are dealing with may be a one...
You are not required to give your NI number, occupation, inside leg measurement or anything else to a RPI other than the basic info they can demand. I would never hand over my phone or any other information. I’d simply give my details and nothing more. It’s a data slurping exercise to gather...
I got my confirmation e mail about 1 minute after finishing the transaction. I also took a screen shot. Payment has gone through my card so hopefully I’m all set. See you on the Saturday.
If you managed to get tickets into the basket but didn’t successfully check out, use the direct ticket link provided earlier in this thread and you should be able to see the basket and check out. I just managed it and it worked. With the sales halted the system is clearing and allowing...
Total shambles, I got to pay and the site died on me. Useless. Morton’s can’t handle this type of volumeevent ticketing. Should have used a real ticket reseller.
The bottom line is this - if a criminal conviction is going to harm your future prospects then why take the risk and take actions that leave you open to criminal prosecution? Buy a correct ticket and have nothing to worry about, or fare dodge by whatever means and hope you don’t get caught. When...
Passenger is aged 16 and will be travelling daily from Twyford Berks to Henley on Thames for college. Passenger will need to be at Henley for 9am so peak time commute and return would be around 5pm.
Could the fare boffins please advise the cheapest way to do this ie with a student railcard...
Ticket would be an Advance Single, booked via The Train Line and collected from the machine at Barmouth prior to travel.
Would it be possible to collect the ticket from any TVM?
the passenger is going to Barmouth by car, but needs to return via train, hence the enquiry.
