The TOC is completely different to the PIS codes so no. Or do you suggest re-writting the PIS software using 20 year tech costing millions to do so. It's a temporary fix to run as many trains as possible.
Tomorrows 700040 will be the 46th delivery. That's leaves 69 deliveries left. Previous announcement was all units ready around May 2018 so that leaves 64 weeks (taking two weeks off around festive period) so one a week with the occasionally twice weekly to maintain the plan of all units ready by...
700030 ran as the following overnight 06/02/17
3Z01 23+45 Three Bridges Depot to Littlehampton via Arundel
3Z02 02+58 Littlehampton to Three Bridges Depot via Hove and Haywards Heath
This was following first
First ever 700 between Horsham and Littlehampton
First ever 700 between...
One issue you have is the diagrams are being changed every fortnight at present so any info will only be valid for a matter of weeks at best. This will settle down in he summer.
Services into the high level are always rare and always connected to engineering works.
The other weekend when there was emergency timetable, Kentish Town was closed as part of the Core block.
There will be many more chances to get the 700s into St Pancras but the 377 and the 319s, time...
The basic issue is the 377 is run on a computer consider not top of the line 20 years ago. Ripping them out and upgrading to a new computer (like the 387s have) would be very expensive.
One TOC, four separate business. However I maintain what I stated is what I believe.
No its not...
Repeating the lie that FCC didn't maintain trains properly is silly. There was no change from the exam schedule that happened under FCC and into GTR. So no GTR didn't inherit problems trains. This is a point I'm sick of making as someone suggested it and it seems to have been taken as fact. The...
Actually that was the DfT who said it before franchise award.
The idea was Thameslink had lower fares on the basis of using 319s where Southern had air conditioned 377s so there was rightly a price difference.
However with the TLP upgrade and the DfT ordering trans for the franchise to...
Seems no-one has put in the answer that both Southern and Thameslink work the Brighton to London Bridge services and it has nothing to with GTR passing around as suggested as it's a historical thing.
Brighton has had a 4tph service to London Bridge for a fairly long time now. With Thameslink...
Safe is a very flexible term. And no-one in the industry is saying DOO is prefectly safe. In fact they are saying its as safe as guard dispatch with differnet challenges not safer.
The industry views dispatch of trains as one of the most dangerous things going as accidents are easy with some...
The wrong part would be GTR stuffed the contract on something they didn't sign.
But yes there is many things far more important than what logo is outside the train as we have said. Right now performance is the focus. And that needs to be the number one priority not nice to haves.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
