You'll need a photocard as when the season ticket is issued, it's tied to your photocard number (which is printed onto it).
I usually renew my season ticket the afternoon before I need it and then it's issued from the next day (Scotrail - not sure how Northern handle this).
It wouldn't automatically be discrimination just because the person holds a disabled person's railcard. Discrimination only occurs when the organisation does not make a "reasonable adjustment", in situations where this is necessary.
For example, if the railcard holder had a condition which...
Do you think particular scenario represents a "valid" excuse? To clarify, I do mean valid in the eyes of the everyday person as opposed to valid as per the terms and conditions of the ticket.
As a passenger, I would feel hard done by if a) I had already been delayed by an amount of time...
I think this would be the main concern I have with this kind of technology, especially if it was to be used in legal proceedings.
I have no experience of this myself, but I do read posts in the disputes section where a common complaint is that "the RPI was rude" or "the RPI manhandled me"...
This is all well and good if you are working under the assumption that organisations have no obligation to change policies and processes which negatively impact on their customers.
Why do you believe that the railway companies should not adapt to serve the needs of its clients, other than the...
One of the other stipulations in the DPA is that data held must be relevant. Is it relevant to store information from what looks like a fishing expedition when the matter at hand is a simple appeal and totally unrelated to delay repay and RTVs?

As another poster has suggested, there is no section of the NRCoC which specifies that the TOC will pay you a penalty fare, however on the flipside, the document doesn't specify what penalties TOCs must pay for breaching the NRCoC.
Morally I think you are absolutely right. I would send them a...
Can't say how likely you are to get challenged, but you may have difficulties in explaining why you are getting off at the wrong platform for a train which hasn't yet arrived in the station...
I do this on my usual train to work as I prefer to stand than be crammed into a middle/window seat. I think it's a reasonable trade off: I get to stand at the doors and lean against a wall, and others get the comfort of a seat.
Interestingly, I renewed my annual season ticket last December with it due to start from 8th Dec (the original one ended on 7th Dec) and right up until the 8th, the renewed ticket would not work in the gates at Glasgow Central (only the original would). On the 8th, it started to work.
I travelled on the 1300 Cross Country from Glasgow to Edinburgh ( final destination Plymouth) yesterday.
In the carriage, there was a Bombardier engineer with a laptop with lots of graphs on the screen.
I also noticed that the train itself was made by Bombardier.
Any ideas as to what...
The US Embassy would probably be best placed to advise you conclusively, however the Wiki entry for moral turpitude suggests that the following are examples of moral turpitude.
So a conviction (as opposed to a PF) may well be seen as being a crime of moral turpitude.
