hi all,
heard that hull trains are replacing their adelantes with class 802 IEPs (like the ones for future GWR west country services) from 2018ish
any ideas where there gonna go?
Just an idea here, but GC to could re-route Bradford trains to foster square, Sunderland trains to Newcastle, and then upgrade the Tyne and wear to 25kv (if it's not already) then get some shortend intercity 225s, then give the 180s to FGW to go to the West country (5 or 10 car)
Exactly! Its infuriating how long it takes, once I was trying my luck trying to get across London to get to Cambridge, we missed our connection by roughly the time the 444 wad standing at the platform while I was jabbing at the button! Ilike getting off 365s as they're driver relese. Sometimes...
once themeslink have their 700s then either the 387s or 377/5s and 3 377/2s will go to emt for the corby services after electrification, the one that isn't chosen will go to southern to replace some 455s.

does this mean that 315s are taking over...
frecciarossa (Italy) in an class, mk3s are nice, so are swt 158s and 159s, but 444 seats are horrible, and 377s even worse seats and you don't have any legroom. loco-hauld trains are defiantly right for intercity, as no engine or motor noise.
do you by any chance work on swt desiros? they're my local units, and they sometimes take as much as 30 seconds for the doors to release, because the guard takes so long doing the train safety check!
as the door system is off a 444, and mk3s had one at each door, then they probably do have the equipment for the guard to do the doors from any door, and to the train safety check.
as swtpassenger said, however GN may replace 317s with displaced 377s or possibly 387s once 700s are delivered, and EMT have made their mind up about electrified coby services.
Okay, I vote for that. that is just outrageous. trying to get to London on what you would expect to be a 7 car HST and get a cr*py dmu that will get critically overcrowded by taunton!

I think its 150,153 or 158. I hear theres going to be a 57+mk2...
I have noticed that on the Chiltern plug door mk3 stock, the guard always operates the doors from the driving van trailer door.
do they not have CDL panels at each door like on normal mk3s? is the guard only trained to use the DVT door?
