Further to my query about 142 068, does anyone know the reason this unit was removed from passenger service prematurely. Thanks in advance.
Given that RTT enabled people to track the last 142 workings I was wondering if anyone knows when 142 068 last worked a passenger service. I was a regular visitor to the Manchester area and last saw it working on the 28th of August 2020. Did any one see it working after then ?
142 018 / 142 070 / 142 094 passed through Manchester Victoria bang on time at 20:08 this evening moving from Heaton to Newton Heath.
Also noted today:
142 004 / 090 on Newton Heath
142 058 on Kirkby service
142 065 on Rose Hill diagram
142 078 on 16:20 New Mills diagram.

Yesterday the 14:23 Wigan Wallgate to Blackburn and 16:17 return was a 142. The set then does the 18:23 Wigan Wallgate to Blackburn. The 17:36 Man Vic to Southport is the other diagram. I believe it returns from Southport at 21:14.
