    Stagecoach West/South West/South Wales - Fleet News & Discussion

Used the falcon today to trafel from Bristol to Brent Knoll and back and was very surprised by the loadings. I got the 1130 from Bristol and 18 others boarded there(stop near fabric land), then 2 at the Winterstoke Rd stop and 2 at Highridge. Only 3 got on at the airport. On route I found...

    Lothian buses E322 MSG

Saw Leyland Olympian E322 MSG at around 17.10 today on Nicholson Street in Edinburgh working the X37 towards Penicuik. Anyone know why this was being used - does it often get used on regular routes?? Thanks.

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Regarding Stagecoach's 99, seems the section between Yeovil and Chard will, as suggested, be replaced by South West Coaches as service 96/A http://www.southwestcoaches.co.uk/bus-timetable

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Talking of the branding, the route map on the side shows the 70 going along Gloucester Rd and 71 along Ashley Down Rd, which is the wrong way round!

The service changes are on travelwest website. It mentions that the 22 service ( Computershare) will be open to the public. Odd that first didn't mention when they put up the list of changes.

    West Country Independents

I think that's a good idea, particularly as I think Hallen should have more buses. But from my experience quite a few people use the 624 (particularly the morning journey) to go into central Bristol, so perhaps the current journeys should be retained and then it could also operate off-peak...

Thank you for this! Looking at the 625 timetable, I am also surprised to see it will start earlier (0550 from Severn Beach) and finish later (2000 from Southmead). Very happy with that! The timetable is a bit odd though - there seems to be absolutely no time between journeys at either end...

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Looking at the map, the 72 seems to be still be going along Whiteladies Rd. The change is that it will no longer go along coldharbour rd and cranbrook rd, but instead along Redland rd ( like the old 99).

First West of England (Bristol, Bath & The West)

Just thought I'd mention that there was an article in the Bristol Post today saying that the A2 route will be extended from Nailsea to terminate at Clevedon in August following 'almost the same route as the current X8'. I cannot find the article online, but was wondering if this is likely to...

Was surprised to find a load of stagecoach timetables at bristol bus station today for the bristol - dursley 88. There still seems to be no evidence that they run it on their website, however it is now on traveline.
