Saw Leyland Olympian E322 MSG at around 17.10 today on Nicholson Street in Edinburgh working the X37 towards Penicuik.

Anyone know why this was being used - does it often get used on regular routes??

Thanks.

As I understand it, and Im only going on roomer and hearsay they are duplicate vehicles which follow vehind a regular vehicle which is fully DDA compliant to offer extra capacity. Lothian are I believe short of double deck stock and so to keep things going some preserved stuff is being used.

Emjoy whilst you can though as step entrance deckers arent allowed on service work as of Jan 2017.

Ive heard there running the peak time extras, of course there no need to follow the DDA compliant stock since its still within the time frame, P reg 285 is also doing the same.
