Annoys the **** out of signallers lol! When a train is delayed, they work out who tonassign it to. It's a very unrewarding job as everyone you call, doesn't want to talk to you lol!

Can someone explain final average pay?

After signalling school and you're n the box learning, you can take holiday as and when you want. It's actually easier to cover you, if you're off when learning as they don't need anyone to cover you, to work the panel. I know our roster clerk preferred it if we used holiday while training.

When I was at signalling school, you were not allowed to take annual leave!

If you take the tests and your score is 60% - they look at everyone that has applied for grade 9 job and interview the top 5, so you may have the 12th best score out of 15 pepole that applied for it, meaning you wouldn't get an interview...but then you could apply for a grade 2 job - you won't...

Yes it's issued by RSSB and we brushed over bell codes, while doing the TCB course, no tests. The course is now 12 weeks long, so it may be something they have added

I work in single manned box in south East...and no sight of another human, let alone someone to come and cover for meals. We do 12 hours on a Sunday, and it's make your food, around the trains timetable. Works out ok though
