In internal, you'll be asked situational questions too...i.e What would you do in this situation? As a signaller, you should know what to do, but obviously they can't ask an external candidate this.

More than do-able mate. Helps if you have experience, like all jobs, but worth a try

If you're called to interview, along with 4 others for example, they will hire one if the 5...there won't be a reserve interview list...this is my understanding of it, and I've had 5 interviews with network rail and also been on the hiring side of the table!
