A light engine 66 has run on this turn several times recently.Travels over the Man Vic-walkden-wigan route..then return trip(s)from WNW to Man Vic before heading back to Peak Forest.There has been a similar turn from Arpley to Man Vic via WNW and Walkden..again a light engine 66.Looks to be...

RTT is showing a Peak Forest -Weaste aggregates path (19/5-22/5) loading to 1800 t although this hasn't run yet(as at 20/5). There is no return path from Weaste,this would be first traffic on the branch for some time..possibly was last used in 2016. Anybody throw any light ?

Noted at Stalybridge on Wednesday (20/12)evening at 20.45... 2 class 73's top n tailing Crewe to Crewe test train...visiting Rose Hill Marple ,Glossop and Hadfield...not a Local train for local people then.

New paths have appeared mon-fri for a 2200 t out/600 t return flow.This runs from Collyhurst St.(Miles Platting) ..presumably on the former Oldham Rd branch...to Scunthorpe Roxby Gullet.Looks to be another "binliner" but have been passed recently and haven't noticed any sign of loading facilities..?

This week a DRS class 66 has been working 05.55 ex York via Dewsbury and Huddersfield into platform 1 at Victoria,thence lays over for an hour or so at Brewery Junction loop.Returns via Victoria and same route as outward journey to York.Looks to be a route learner ..??Loco is fitted with cameras...

07.48 Euston to Burnley Manchester Rd..out via Stoke to Stockport with electric haulage thence diesel via Todmorden curve..ecs to Blackburn .Return via Crewe for loco change...brings back memories of the League Liner with its disco coach??????

Looks like a new freight flow from Knowsley to Wilton starting up13.12.15(see RTT).Route of outward journey is by Wallgate/Bank Quay/Stockport and the Calder Valley,return empties run via Calder Valley/Victoria/Chat Moss or by the more direct Victoria/Walkden/Crow Nest line....this must be the...
