Five minutes later and I got my interview request email.

Seeing people getting either rejection or interview requests today and waiting here with neither and going a little squirrely not knowing!

I haven't heard anything yet. Not sure if I can even really apply for this one. I failed my last assessment just under 6 months ago...the time expires on the 5th of March. Figured they would take long enough that my fail date would pass, but if they are already working through the applications...

I found the dfft test to be a little bit more difficult in the actual test, but not by a lot. It's not too bad really.

Check the gb test on this forum, print them out and do them on paper. Beyond the test papers given, I made my own high and low tones audio tracks and then would shuffle them together. The rest I just did with the practice materials. They're really good.

The role I'm assessing for currently I got when I randomly checked online while on holiday and it was there and available. I spent about six hours typing an application on my phone which kept timing out and deleting everything while my family had fun on the Welsh coast. Set up a bunch of alerts...

I never got my specific results back but passed to enhanced standard with Arriva. The only advice I can give is download the group bourdon test, print them out and do them on paper. You need to be fast but accurate, so find your happy medium between the two. Do a bunch of tests and find out...

Thank you both, that definitely helps and puts my mind at ease. Another week and a half to think about nothing else but this assessment day. I'm definitely going to try my best, I'm sure I can do this if given the chance, just got to convince them to give me the chance :-)

I had a class of 15 in my assessment, and there was another group who were coming out from the first session of around 20. First assessment covered the group bourdon, tea occ, dfft and sjt.

Apparently well. I thought I might have not been at the requisite level for the fault finding test but just got confirmation for second stage assessment in September.

You only lose lives for fails at a test centre or at interview.

Yeah, this is how it was. Thankfully I use one email address solely for applications so I check everything like that that comes through. A search for invite will help.
