Trivia: Largest town/city without a major bus depot

That just makes it densely (possibly over) populated.

    Double deckers in other countries?

Isle Of Man have them. They used to form the majority of the Fleet, until 2011 when the preferred type switched to Mercedes Citaro.

Trivia: Buses with novel features which aren't branded on the outside

Yeah, I've also just remembered 242 was on Display at Port Erin Depot Open Day, during 2014 Transport Festival. This was before she entered Service, no Branding, no Ticket Machine or Radio either and with Protective Floor Covering.

Trivia: Buses with novel features which aren't branded on the outside

Yes, and I don't think she made it into Service with the Branding.

And 'Micro Hybrid' StreetLites actually had Branding removed.

    Bus Manufacturer News & Discussion

The Enviro, StreetLites are much smoother and ride the roads better than Enviros. They feel better built and are much nicer to drive.

Let's not play the 'pandemic card'. Cuts started on 26 March 2012. Cascades are a regular strategy for Big Groups, especially to marginal OpCos. But everything that came in from London (ALX200 Darts for 36/38 & Pointer Darts for 26) was heavily refurbished and converted to single door. Compare...

Compare direct links, and you'll find a lot of them have been lost. Johnstone housing estates to anywhere beyond the town centre will soon join the list. Johnstone also used to boast links to Partick and the Southern General Hospital. Now has no links to the new 'super' Hospital. The estates...

I do think Arriva wouldn't have obliterated Journey Opportunities/Links to the extent McGill's have. The last ASW Network Changes made a lean, efficient, network. Efficiencies McGill's inexplicably reversed. Arriva Scotland West probably wouldn't have overstretched themselves to the extent...

    McGill's Buses - Renfrewshire & Inverclyde

It's a mess, and this is just making a bigger one for me. The 31 is not needed either, just run the 30 as it was, Spateston-Corseford-Johnstone-Castle-Cochrane Castle. And the 32 should be 36, just for familiarity.

Who is doing WrightBuses Marketing/Social Media? It's none existent. A new Single Decker now a Scania Gemini and nothing, no fanfare, no look 'WrightBus in Japan'. The SD is still, I believe, nameless. If this were ADL, or even Optare, it'd be all over Twitter.

    First Glasgow: Was Simplicity Effective?

If the aim was to 'simplify' then, no I don't think it was. However, if it was to maximise efficiency then, I think it was effective. The changing of some Service Numbers to fit with others left a huge mess in some areas though. Take Paisley Road West. The 9A should be the 10. The 10 should be...

Hopefully standard First, they already have way too many Liveries. So they will definitely be in an Electric Livery to add to the confusion.
