The only time I ever got that message was when it said 'Run time Error' 'Subscript out of range' and this was beasue I was trying to play a BVE 4 route on BVE 2.
Tell you what would be a good route would be the Channel Tunnel Route.
Could you imagine the amazing scenery between the london terminal eg waterloo and then into the tunnel where you come out in paris with the ac lines and french signaling.

The berlin subway is already being created as you know and as for new york I think that it should wait untill some other countries.
Apparrently they are going to try and do a certain london underground route after Berlin but have to get the permission first.

Bakerloo - Curious as to how they will do they WCML on the overground.
Central - 1992 stock would be cool, see if they do ATO, and the juntions at liverpool street and other junctions.
Circle - Love to see a variety of LU stocks...
How would I go about a day of work experience on a railway. Do you know any Train Operating Companies that do that? Underground and Metro lines ok aswell.
