Not sure if we're due anything, but ears will be kept firmly to the ground. Doubt we'll get anything until the Preston Bus episode is put to bed.
Possibly upgrades for the 3 (which seems to have adopted the MANs) or 9 (Which have adopted most of the Darts)... if they got used on the 9s they'd...
Word is they are meant to be getting some Enviro 200s, of which I understand are new. 2 of them, not sure what length or when they are arriving (sorry to have kept the guessing game going on so long... forgot)!
The irony of 47474 being ex Preston too... although of course it having a major rebuild and doing less millage than the other 24 examples will of helped it no end. Scary to think all that damage was done by a tree, luckily the driver is on the road slowly to recovery.
I've experienced all those...
Im sure the drivers would have something to say about the MANs! They are not the most reliable of beasts, one of ours (Frenchwood) spent 2 and a half months off the road being fixed, so it depends how road worthy these are. Im sure West Cumbria has enough on its plate having to put up with our...
http://www.lep.co.uk/lifestyle/bus_hit_by_goodwill_bunting_1_788254
And yes, they do fit... experienced it twice, including our resident bad smell 16352. So not really a story (although LEP and Stagecoach don't see eye to eye) Somehow they've managed to hang the various bunting and flags the...
Unless it has a twin, 18153 isnt in reserve as I took it out to Blackpool this morning, saying that was probably still half asleep!!!
52529 is still, as stated by Ross, in Trans Cumbria livery parked in exactly the same spot as it has been for the last 2 weeks, just behind it the first glimpse...
16352 was meant to go when accident damaged 18146 re-entered service (which it has done for about 3 weeks now), but seems to be hanging around like a bad smell. Should go soon though as its not tacho'd nor has CCTV.
Haven't seen 16328 in use as yet, although no doubt if we're allowed and its...
Chorley did have a couple 'on loan' for a time, prior to them being converted to open top, management would probably look at getting the service fully low floor, fuel consumpion, seating etc ahead of drivability. You never know some ex Manchesters may end up there from ME although unlikely...
Morecambe expecting new Scanias, Chorley expecting some Tridents... S reg Tridents replacing R reg Olympians, not that much of an age difference and certinally would be useful when having to fill in on 125/126's. Anyway, pure guess.
AFAIK Frenchwood are expecting nothing new, although look out...
19045... that would have been me then driving as its the only 68 yesterday it did! Spends most of the day on Longridge's and drops on to a 68 for peak, a inbound 68 takes its slot on the Longridges.
19031 was repainted about 2 months ago, was VOR for a while with accident damage.
Its more than likely 19032, which has now returned south, seen heading in direction at Junction 32 this afternoon. Should be back in service at Frenchwood by the end of the week... all the Enviros are due for repaint in the next 12 months or so.
Only option with 33144 now at Lilyhall is 33143, although 33172 (Marshall bodied) was on loan to Fleetwood last week to cover a Versa which was at Optare in Rotherham under repair, so it could have been this one (notice how deep the skirt was? If above the line of the skirt pannels it would have...
All the recent arrivals with MAN engines have had the multiple nearside grills, Frenchwood's 47470-94 being examples. Maybe a different varient of engine or have they had cooling issues with the MAN units?
Did someone mention these would be Goldline spec or was it a dream I had lol
Also, the grills appear to be the old style versions (ie offside single units rather that multiple nearside units) Any ideas why?
Its still got the upside down beachball! Did many of Kendal's Tridents actually manage to get this applied correctly!?
Looks like it could at least do with a red repaint a-la Morecambe on the rear though at least.
Repaint... when was it last! Looks like it needs one. Can say it deffo has carried them at some point, or at least something underneath "Stagecoach".
Yes your right, the 2/2A needs to be low floor and so should the 68 really, although 16352 sometimes appears on there. Also, 18374 has a tacho...
From what ive heard, the Kendal Trident came down as it was required as the PVR increased by 1 for the new 2's and 2A route through to Ormskirk, so its anybody's guess if it will return. It has had its Cumbria fleetnames replaced by Lancashire ones and Ribble Motor Services legals fitted, so it...
Looks like it arrived on tow, dunno what condition these are in and would they be used at Carlisle? Though hopefully 33144 will end up being sold out of the group - i wouldn't like Lilyhall to have to put up with more of our ex Preston junk!
In answer to a previously posed question, there are...
